Mr. Fan has been a director since 1990. He is a Deputy Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited ("Cathay") and a Deputy Managing Director of CITIC HK. He is a non-official member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Chairman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority and a non-executive director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Before joining CITIC HK in 1987, Mr. Fan held senior management positions with a number of corporations and also practised law as a barrister. Mr. Fan is 59.
