Together We Run for Excellence – CITIC Pacific partners with HONG KONG STREETATHON for the 5th consecutive year

CITIC Pacific proudly served as a Strategic Partner for the KERRY HONG KONG STREETATHON 2025, marking its fifth consecutive year of support for this iconic event. This year’s edition concluded successfully on 23 November 2025, drawing over 20,000 global and local participants. Each year, CITIC Pacific provides comprehensive support – including tunnel access as part of the race routes, traffic coordination, and refreshments for runners – to deepen community cohesion and encourage the development of street running culture as a hallmark of Hong Kong’s urban identity. We also actively encourage employee participation to promote a healthy lifestyle. This year, approximately 470 employees and their families took part in the event.

Facilitated by a dedicated registration channel, CITIC Pacific consolidated over 220 employee registrations, including 70 colleagues from outside of Hong Kong, such as Shanghai, Jiangyin, Nanjing, Australia, Taiwan and more. Their involvement highlights our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive corporate culture across our operations.

In addition, over 70 employees, along with their friends and families, formed a vibrant cheering team. Positioned at key points including the start line, finish line, in the tunnel and along the route, they enthusiastically supported runners throughout the race.

Mr. Qian Gang, President of CITIC Pacific, shared: "We are honoured to be a strategic partner of the HONG KONG STREETATHON for the fifth consecutive year. This partnership reflects our commitment to being an engaged and responsible member of the local community. With over three decades of history in Hong Kong, CITIC Pacific has consistently supported urban infrastructure development to contribute to Hong Kong's continued prosperity. Through our collaboration with the race, we aim to deepen our connection with the community and demonstrate our philosophy of empowering society for a brighter future. We hope our efforts will continue to generate positive energy and contribute meaningfully to Hong Kong's long-term sustainable development.

Pacific Infrastructure “Clears the Way” for the Event

Our subsidiary, Pacific Infrastructure, played a pivotal role by opening the Central-Wan Chai Bypass and Eastern Harbour Crossing for the race. Leveraging its experience in traffic management for public events, the team meticulously planned and executed traffic arrangements, ensuring optimal ventilation and safety inside the tunnels. These efforts provided runners with a unique and comfortable experience as they crossed the harbour.

Dah Chong Hong Fuels the Finish Line

Dah Chong Hong, a member of CITIC Pacific, also contributed enthusiastically to the event. At the finish line, the DCH refreshment station offered runners a well-earned energy boost with treats such as mini abalone, biscuits and beverages, adding a flavorful touch to the runner’s party and showcasing Hong Kong’s local food culture.

This year’s 10km race featured a unique harbour-crossing experience with scenic sea-and-sky views as runners crossed the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Link. This bridge, the longest-spanning and heaviest off-site prefabricated steel arch in Hong Kong, was constructed using ultra-high-strength steel plates exclusively supplied by CITIC Pacific Special Steel. We are proud to have contributed to this landmark infrastructure.

CITIC Pacific remains steadfast in its commitment to social well-being and community development. We will continue to support our community by embracing healthy living, togetherness and positivity as we do our part to help foster the vibrancy and unique culture of Hong Kong.
